I think the Abh are cool, but I wouldn't want to be one because their culture is so radically different. Their approach to battle is interesting, and Lafiel is cute.

Their ships also kick *ss.

Their speech is really nice too. It's very elegant...

They dont seem to have a wide range of personality though. They seem almost closed up and ignore emotion. I would go crazy after a while if I couldn't act.. stupid. :p

I actually I think that there lack of emotion seems to make them all the more cool and their approach to life is very interesting to me. I think it would be cool to be an Abh. Although they do not have emotions they can still feel hatred so they must have some kind of emotions to be able to feel hatred. Lafiel smiled as her expersion for her hatred of the Baron Febdus. I know I probably didn't spell that right. Their langauge is really neat as well.

The Abh are a very cool race they do have emotion but they are raised not to show it remember when Laphiel was cring with her father? All and all id personally love to be an Abh the culture is very interesting.

Yeah, you're right. Its wierd and kind of cool. Like the fact that they only smile when they hate someone or are angry or something like that.

I was intrigued by Abh culture from the first time I saw COTS. I think they are very cool and I admire their determination in battle... putting up a fight even with only a 10% chance of winning. I also think its cool the way they can link up to their spacecraft and sense every aspect of it. I think I'd be ok with being one. :)

I got a laugh when someone called them 'space elves' on an ep. But if I recall, only the Imperial family has the 'elf-ears'.

They certainly have their quirks though.

Such as the 'Lady of Chaos' Admiral Spoor.

okay everybody... ne1 here watch star trek? then if u do u'll kno what i mean when i say an abh is a blue haird vulcan. they kinda got that no emotion thing going on and super long life-span... well i mean ABOVE average. sept weren't the abh made in like a laboratory? or are they actually aliens that decided to werk fer this noblility?

The abh are humans actually, not a genetically seperate race. They were genetically engineered humans designed to operate better in space and have heightened physical abilities. Because they were created in labs, they were considered 'less human' and mistreated, so some of the Abh ended up rebelling and, many years later, they populated their own seperate culture. So far the Seikai universe has no aliens, just a bunch of humans that have spread through the galaxy rapidly. All five major powers in their universe are humans with a different culture, the Abh being the most drastic.

They have more in common with Coordinators from Gundam Seed or the Cylons from Battlestar Galactica than they do with the Vulcans.

i hate to disagree with that. They do have emotions the abriel are trained not to show it because it might be a bad sign to see your ruler, crying, or very angry.

but if you look at the other ABH from the series (more prononced in the Manga) they are just like everyone else. Yes though I would say that they are more reserved around non ABH or grounders.

I love Spoor she shows emotion alot. its just that she is bored with how her life is. (just read the manga, where the President askes her aid to have her play the evil space invader. she smiles then uses the lines he wanted elswhere. With a smile... all the while you can see her aid just groaning in unease.)

I'm under the impression that the reason they dont allow themselves to cry, is because of their guilt. They dont feel they DESERVE to be allowed to feel sorry for themselves considering their past crimes.

Omg, is Lafiel not the most perfect anime girl ever? Strong, elegant, vulnerable, loving, and has a great male character (not too weak, not tough).

The Ahb are a race that have evolved and prospered. Granted they live on guilt, but they are one of the best speces, The ahb are one of the coolest races in any anime, oh and, Since everyone is saying it (And Because I belive it too) Lafiel is the greatest anime girl ;P
