I totally saw this movie this weekend and i have to watch again! (mostly because i didnt understand it) But i did like it. Except for the screeming songs that was kinda annoying. The only other thing about it was that the whole movie semed like it was still the beginning of the movie atmosphere ya know? and then it just kinda ends.

Welcome to Animeboards, Avidian. :wavey:

You know, I think the principle theme song to the movie is one of it's best selling points...along with the excellent animation and open-ended plot. It does have a weird feel to the pacing, which is probably because it was based on a much more detailed manga. However, I think the important points/questions where expressed.

I totally loved the music...the opening theme to the movie is Making of Cyborg....and most of the soundtrack's other songs pretty much revolve around that tune...

That music really grows on you, I was looking for the soundtrack until I saw the price ($54!!!) Anyway, I love it. I had five minutes to spare yesterday, not long enough to watch an episode of anything (and I'd already seen On Your Mark over and over again) so I put on GITS and watched that bit where Motomo is drifting through the city. That is so atmospheric, so beautiful. Then the rain starts to fall and the drops hit the water - wow, you don't see animation like that very often.

GITS was better for me on the second viewing, I was able to follow more of the detail. I also found (at least to me) that watching it in Japanese with English subtitles was a whole lot better than the dubbed soundtrack. But I'm fussy that way :D

One day I'd like to see it on a big screen, just to sit there and go waaaaah...

The creation bit at the front was pretty cool, and I thought the music really fitted the scene. the soundtrack overall was quite fitting. GITS really did a great job at combining violence and an emotional plot and deep storyline. 5 out of 5!
