Well the unforunate side effect of not having a wide variety of anime rentals nor any anime clubs in your area does come into play here… Anime series I want to see… But don't have the budget to buy… (Also what am I gonna do if I don't like it?) Their was an article in Animerica this month, but the postal service is so damn slow, I havn't seen it yet… So I would like to know what this is about? I heard that there was a speical episdoe at the end that was just sex and violence... Uh? And when is a collectors box coming out?
So I was wondering what the main storyline is and your rating in the following catagories… A (1 thru 10) scoreing list…
Storyline:
Animation style:
Characters (How life like are their personalities?):
Emotions (How much does it pull you into the story?):
Fan Service:
Thank you! ^^

You cut and paste this in every new Anime you think about seeing don't you :heh
Well I've only seen the first 9 episodes and it's the funniest Anime I've ever seen. And that's telling you something. But there is that "Special Episode 26" but with some research you should be able to find out about that yourself. Anyway, I'll let someone who has actually seen the series help you fill in your form.
I've seen the first 13eps
Storyline: Parody
Animation style: hmm... very clean but you can tell its done by computer in places which makes it look cheap, also as it is parody, the style itself can change from ep to ep scene to scene -like in the 'ratings increae week' ep
Characters (How life like are their personalities?): insane
Emotions (How much does it pull you into the story?): its parody, good parody - funny, not to be taken seriously
Fan Service: there is a fan service episode! as well as a few other scenes (so far) in eps but its all above board admitting its gratuitous, hey its parody.
Fantastic series get it NOW!

So far I have not found anything about the animation to take away from the story. That very well may be the beauty of a parody ::D

It is every genre kicked and mamed into one and pooped out the other end in the messiest of ways. ^^
The plot is, Ilpalazzo, an intelligent sexy bishie, has decided to take over the cuty of F - as it's a more reasonable ploy than say the country or world. He has but two employees in his ACROSS team - Excel and Hyatt. In each episode they follow a certain order to help in some way in the domination of the city. In the background you also have Nabeshin (he's awesomely awesome!), Excel's three neighbours and their female co-worker. Oh, and Menchi, a kawaii doggy with a great singing voice. She serves as Excel's emergency food stash. :p Two other characters you gotta love are Pedro and infinite cosmos thingy. ^^

ZING!
Serious, it's a top bloody series, I reccomend it highly, it's what rekindled my waning interest in anime a few months back. Funny as hell, just watch it.

ZANG!
If you don't watch Excel Saga, I'll...Puchu! Puchu! Puchu! *walks around super kawaii with a huge ray gun*
I only have the first disc, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Make sure you have the little pop up liner notes on though; otherwise you might not get some of the jokes.
God, so many anime dvds, so little time, so friggin' expensive...*sigh*

They are handy but I recall in one part there was like 3 or so popups and well it basically covered the whole screen -_-

Don't complain about the popups! Rewind as necessary.

Good point. I'll revise that. Watch the pop-ups the first time around so you get the jokes, turn 'em off on subsequent viewings.
Better? :D

excel saga is good but it could have been made a bit funnier I still favor kimengumi as the funniest anime series.
I'd rate excel 8 out of ten I didnt like the animal episode.
