i got the impression he wrote the book they were talking about at one point (i think towards the end of the series they mention a book that they all seem to have read...)

well I dont think bear wrote that book it was one that most of them had read for example the scarlet knight guy (dam forget his name) read it when he was in school
but now thinking that if bear did write it it was fitting to have a quote out of his book when they wore about to go through helaba's gate (I think thats when it comes up)
