Hmm... looking at the survey in the "Japan Now" section of Newtype USA January issue, I notice that Chii has held no. 1 positon in the "favorite female character" poll for the last 5 months...

yep, Chii is the heroine of Chobits. I guess that heroine in this context would be 'main female character'.

Well Heerogf, both are right. I havent read the manga but in the series she is supposed to be the savior/liberator of all persocons. In the last ep she has to make a choice that will affect all persocons. So I think that qualifies her as heroine.

I dont think Mizuho is a heroine (of onegai teacher), or Osaka (from Azumanga daioh, she came like 7th or something), so the definition of heroine in this case would probably be "female character."

*sigh* Newtype Japan and their English...its not really Engrish in that it makes sense, but maybe they use the wrong vocab
