In Second Stage we know that the Emperors wanted to become to best in Gunma and to do that they have to defeat the best teams from each prefecture, they took on the Nightkids from Mtogi and won, they took on Akagi Redsuns lost that and they took on Akina and also lost that.

But what about Usui?

Now heres what I think, sure in Extra Stage Emperors took on Impact Blue but those guys were like second stringers.

I think they did actually take on a team from Usui the Thunderfires who were in the first episode of Second Stage who were outclassed by Seji. I believe that the Thunderfires are in Usui team, why? Because in First Stage where we first see Mako and Sayuki we see some cars going down Usui and they had the Thunderfire sticker on the back.

Well thats just some rambling thoughts of mine.

Impact Blue is only one car so it isnt much of a team. Heck the Emporers never even challenged Kai to prove that they were the best at Irohazaka before they went on their crazy little game of beat the other teams. They were just trying to beat teams not one car racers

Hmm but to be the best in Gunma should you challenge the best and the best on Usui is Impact Blue and not Thunderfire.

As for Kai, in Third Stage the Emperors said they dont do local challenges. But we hear that Kao defeated Seji . . ,

If you think like that then shouldnt they have raced Bunta at akina since he is the best racer there.

And I was thinking about Kai beating Seiji. Wouldnt that mean that he could be a match for Sudou and possibly be better than the emporers.

But no one really knows about Bunta and his skill.

I think Kai and Sudo would be about even, but just because Kai can do the jump on the hairpin Im gonna assume he is better.

Bunta's skill is a real mystery, but if it was enough to scare the Drift King (Keiichi Tsuchiya) then who knows....

Sudou knows about the jumps too. He just doesnt use it in any of his battles. watch the battle of Takumi vs Kai. Sudou knows what Kai is going to do before he does it. Sudou probably doesnt jump cause he already has to replace his turbo and whole exhaust system every month. He doesnt want to half to replace his suspension too. Those 5-10ft drops are not to nice to you car.

So he does get a WRX in the manga, I havent read the manga yet.

Tokyopop has the rights to the manga, but they havent released any volumes right?

They have released a couple volumes. I only have the first one though. Heard they changed the names in the 2nd volume and up.
