do you guys know what happened to rei/asuka/shinji at the end of the eva movie.did rei die?did asuka and shinji become the new adam and eve?

Shinji and Asuka become in a way the new Adam and Eve, as for Rei, she being inside Lillith and having no real soul of her own is gone just like Lillith. Only the souls of those people collected into Lillith have the chance to go and seize the future. As I believe Shinji and Asuka are the first to think themselves back to the physical world. That is just my opinion.

It's a possibility that Shinji died(remember when Rei is looking at him when he's in the Eva? He seems happy just like the rest of the people before they died).
Either that, or everyones AT Field was being restored to them, starting with Shinji and Asuka, and then eventually everyone would become what they were, again.

Well their are several theorys.

Yes Asuaka and Shinji could become new Adam and Eves. Shinji survived because he rejected third impact and willed Asuaka to survive with him. I believe Asuka and Shinji are soul mates.... I cant remember why but I would have a VERY good reason... so maybe even God put Asuka back with Shinji next to the dead sea. Even its a possibility that since Asuaka and Shinji were the only ones in EVA protected by them, enbled them to survive 3rd impact.

Another possibility is that when Shinji rejected 3rd Impact he wont have to live alone with Asuka... for the rest of mankind will also will itself back by putting up another AT field around their heart and sepearting themselves. Shinji already did it once to Misatos voice... maybe mankind can do it to. They are both likely possibilitys.

Their are other theorys which I have heard including they all died and thats Shinjis heaven... on a desert island with Asuka. Another one is that this is 3rd impact. Their are heaps of different theorys but the top two are the most popular.
