What say you? I say it's got a damn fine cast, that has to be some of the best acting I've heard - especially Orphen's and Cleao's. Ok...I know the script had quite alot of tweaking and changes, but to say it's a completely different story would be wrong as it does relay the key issues of Azalea and Orphen's quest - not to mention Flameheart's an ass in both of them.
I found Volcan and Hartia more amusing in the dub, and Cleao more powerful.

I like the dub, but I agree with you on stuffing up the script. I have the knack of having the English dub on while having the English subtitles on at the same time. And they are completely different. Usually they try and stay as close to the original a possible, but Orphen is way off. Yes they are a lot funnier, which is always a good thing, but on some things they ruin it. I think it's in episode 2 or 4 where the elders are talking. The English Dub is talking about Orphen, while the Japanese is telling us important information about Azalie. I know they are sticking to the basic story but still.
Oh, the thing that annoys me the most is the spell casting. When Orphen or Majic cast a spell they say these cool saying like Sword of Light, whom do I release. These sayings rock. But the dub ruined it. That it my greatest disappointment about the dub. And I don't know why they didn't add them?

While I love the characterizations, I also dislike the stuffing up of spells. They either had talking in where there should have been a spell recited, or they recited it completely wrong.
Speaking of the spells, you'll enjoy what was done in Revenge, each spell had a funky colourful background when he'd cast and release. ^^ They were annoying at first, but grew on me.

I think some of the dub stuff is funnier then the subtitled but I like some of the spells better in the subtitle. I like the casting too. I think all the voice actors fitted their characters perfectly.

Agreed, even the casting of Shinji...umm... Majic seems to be right. I think the Anime studio seems to care about who the Voice Actors are now. Unlike the past where the voices didn't match or the lip sync was way off.

I loved the casting for Cleao and Orphen, they were amazing! Also Hartia! =^^=
