Dornkirk's always rambling about Faith, Destiny, and the future. What do chemicals have to do with all these? Faith, Destiny, and the future are results of choices, not chemicals... so what do chemicals have to do with thoughts and choices?

Also, if anyone's familiar with MKR or Magic Knight Rayearth, Gaea is similar to Cephiro where the world is built upon the thoughts and hearts of its inhabitants. Dornkirk's always rambling about a perfect, beautiful future for everyone, when he's only being selfish and building a future for himself. He messed up Dilandau, those two cat women that served Folken, and played with people's emotions through various experiments.

by the way, he has a stupid name. Isaac was a nice one so why'd he change it to Dornkirk?

Also, is the time on Gaea different from that of earth. If you've seen other anime, like Fushigi Yuugi. Three months in the book is an hour on earth. Dornkirk seems to have come from the 1800 since he was interested very much with Alchemy which was practiced during that era. Judging from his costume when he first arrived, he was from Europe where this was practiced. So does that make him and Hitomi come from different times? or by any chance, he became immortal through all those faith altering that he's doing?

Good questions. I would be interested in seeing someone's response. I myself have not gotten far enough into the series to answer any of these.

I'm not sure about this but I think the time is different on earth. Although, perhaps people just age differently on Gaea. Well, I know the calendar is different on gaea so it makes it hard to figure out the timelines.
