Westlo, do you have any idea how many episodes there are? (26-Estimating)
And, Do you have a review for DVD #4? That would be great!
There are 26 episodes.
You won't find reviews for DVD #4 yet, unless you want Japanese reviews.

BTW, those two Mu Figures I keep on seeing. What are there names? I read rumors that their names were
=spoiler
Allegretto
and
Fortissimo
=spoiler
Is this true?

Yep. Something like that. Tempo names.

Yep, they're all named after musical terms. Lets see...
Allegrato, Fortissimo, Grave, Ritardando, Forzando, Sforzando, Larghetto, Pibaacha(here's one I haven't figured out, this is simply the romanization), Falsetto, Arpeggio, Orutanet, Metronome, Vibrato, and Obligatto. Phew. Still missing the names of the last few that show up though.

It goes directly with the Song Theme... ;)
I want to know what Asahina's Dolem was named...
I don't remember exactly... but I think the dolem had tears.

You probably wouldn't remember because they unfortunately only name 3 of the Dolems (Allegrato, Fortissimo, Falsetto) in the show. Asahina's Dolem was called Vibrato.

Says thedarkmarine:
I'm planning to get the box+dvd+shirt thingie.
I picked that up last weekend.
Were all the shirts extra large? I like mine a bit baggy, but I'm sure there are a buncha skinny and frail anime freaks staring hopelessly at their new sleeping gowns now.
This is the first time I've seen episodes from the series, besides the sneak peak in Newtype. Very interesting and I can't wait to watch more. A friend and I watched them and were glued to the screen.
I will say this just the one time...;)...I did notice some scenes in those first five episodes which had scenes eerily similar to some scenes in Evangelion. Don't bite my head off, as I know this is something of a sore point in the Rah community, but I found it amusing.

Yes. Yes it does have some scenes. Now if you start calling Rah a rippoff, I'll roll your head into a ditch. Oh well. Enjoy.
Dammit, I really need to start buying DVD's again.

Lol...
The head rolling thing....
No one called it a ripoff...
What is so terrible to be compared to eva?
This complete violence is completely unnecessary :liplick:
I assume a person coming to a board that is opperated by Eva2000.com would like eva...
There's a difference between comparing it to Eva, and claming that it is a "ripoff", m'dear. ;)

I picked that up the day that the set came out. :)
I just got the Box + DVD 1 + T Shirt combo today in Australia, cost me $55 Australian to get it, how much did it cost you guys in America?
I liked the DVD Cover, liked the Box cover, liked the actual box itself (nice and sturdy), liked the little booklet they included with it with the character bios and interviews with the japanese staff members.
The dvd menu's were okay, I loved how they did the production sketches (hemisphere rocks), the special japanese promo I haven't seen before so that was interesting to see.
The actual content of the dvd well it's the third time I've seen these episodes now... , I have no qualms about the visual and audio except for one thing. I appreciate the animation in RahXephon even more now seeing it on DVD.
The dub was fairly good though I doubt I will end up liking it better than the japanese version since I'm so used to their voices/performance. But this dub is probably the best ADV dub I've seen so far though... I liked all the voices except for Horoko which only really sounded bad when she was shouting (like when you first see.. err hear her) but was decent for the rest of the time.
Now things I didn't like...
The blurring during the opening scene of the first episode.. made it look ugly.
And the T Shirt.. I won't put that to use at all.
And I have to wait to I think July for Volume 2, oh well I'll watch the fansubs..
Still missing the names of the last few that show up though
ADV will probably include their names on the booket they will include in the last dvd.

I think I paid US$34.95 for the box/shirt/DVD set. It's a good deal by my standards.
I agree the credit-blurring looks bad. It's just a bit too unprofessional. Everything else looks and sounds great.

It wasn't bad, it was a disgrace. You could blantently see through the little foggy lines. It's a shame though they don't play hemisphere in every episode. Oh, and did you hear about DVD#3? It only has three episodes (75min.) and the price is still around $30. Thank goodness DVD#4 like DVD#2 has 4 episodes. :D
ADV are pathetic.
DVD 3 will probably include the RahXephon Memories special that was aired in Japan in between episodes 9 and 10, but it's just a recap made for TV and wasn't even released on dvd in Japan... Wow what a mindblowing extra thats worth buying 7 DVDs over 6.
Though I am looking forward to the full Hemisphere opening that ADV is suppose to have.

Everything in Rah Xephon to you is a sequel to Evangelion isn't it? ;)
It's because she thought Evangelion was the first in it's genre, something I don't see in her posts anymore since I pointed out it wasn't
I mean you have Anno going yeah I was inspired by animes such as Mobile Suit Gundam, Ideon etc
And then you have Kyrakasa going in a thread

It is the autobiographical work of Yutaka Izubuchi just like Anno is the autobiographical work of Anno...
The fact is that RahXephon is an autobiographical work by Yutaka Izubuchi...
Before the existance of Evangelion in every median (Novels, Films, Music) nobody ever considered their work as autobiographical. Strangely nobody else ever did that until the courageous Izubuchi did with his sequel of Evangelion, the wonderful RahXephon.
Before the existance of Evangelion all the Jpop songs were song by males, the Macross songs you heard from 1982 were really a high pitched guy! Sadly for all the high pitched male jpop singers the arrival of Evangelion put them out of work since Anno took a very brave risk casting the unknown Megumi Hashibashi (sp) as a singer.
Expect more awesome theories like that from Kyrakasa when you read her website in 2 weeks.
I for one can't wait!
Megumi Hashibashi didn't sing the opening Eva's opening theme by the way, it was Youko Takahashi.
