ah blue seed. advision, the same company that puts out many great animes comes through again! bad ass... they use the same stable of voice actors that did Eva and Plastic Little and Gunsmith Cats and ... so on ... to good effect. Rei's voice (can't remember her name) plays two characters, who are twins seperated at birth to protect their family from an ancient race of plant-based demons called the Aregami (my spelling is off, i know). the Aregami send a lone man named "Kusinagi" (thus my name) to protect her. but, in anguish over losing one of the sisters, Kadae Kushinada, Kusinagi now is attempting to destroy the remaining sister, Momiji. That's where the anime starts, with a very determined Kusinagi attempting to destroy Momiji and the Terrestrial Administration Commitee stepping in to help. The TAC are kinda like the Men In Black. They know of the existance of demons and are trying to keep it out of public knowledge. But when one attacks Momiji's school and attracts media attention, the TAC have to take responsibility. Momiji and Kusinagi are now both the targets of an ancient god, Irochi. Irochi tries to kill Momiji, but Kusinagi gets in the way, as he's trying to kill her too. But in the end, he sees her resemblance to Kadea and can't. So, Kusinagi protects Momiji from then on. I'm not gonna spoil the series for those who haven't seen it, but it's like Eva, lots of weird mysteries, lots of funny stuff... generally a great anime that you can watch with friends.

unlike eva, this one focuses on the LOVE aspect of the emotional stride. It hits great marks in animation and voice acting (though Tiffany Grant needs to take a break! She plays Kome , one of the TAC who is almost EXACTLY like Asuka of Eva...)....

i say :
Animation : 8.6
Sound: 7
Music: 4
Emotion: 8.9
Plot: 9
ENDING : 9.9!
Overall: 8

highly recommended. though it is LONG like eva, the ending is SO much more satisfying.

its more similar to Ranma... but is a little bit more serious and dwells into Japanese mythology. It would be more interesting if you know a thing or two about the history of Japan...

excellent point.... well, the only thing you really gotta know is where some places are on a japanese map. (and i have one, for easy anime reference) the rest is kinda explained to ya through the series... (now i said kind of)

and sometimes you gotta take into effect the ideas and culture behind the actions... like the sweet buns or the shrines...

Amanda Winn plays Kaede and Momiji.

It was a Blue Seed joke, although I do like women in there underwear.

(NOTE: I SAID WOMEN, NOT YOUNG GIRLS!)

but anyway. about Blue Seed. I enjoyed it. funnier than EVA, more satisfying ending *i know, wait for the movies*, a little less intricate in the drawings, but more kool monsters and mythology that are behind the action.
