manga - anime

is the anime based on the manga ? I have only seen 3 episodes of the Anime, and none of the manga..

I know its related, but im not sure how the manga ends with the anime. There is a lot of related things but im not sure how the manga ends out, maybe the same but I dont really know, but from the anime to Manga,it follows it and has its differences.

the anime runs along the same lines as the manga with slight variations like all anime that was based on manga

I disagree, linna... I'd say the anime is better, has a LOT more charcter development and gives the plots more depth....

im not a big fan of clamp anime but i do adore clamp manga, that might be the reason why i dont really like chobits as anime much, and anyway i do prefer manga over anime most of the time because it explains the story more clearly than anime

depends on the series again.... I need to go dig up the rest of the Chobits mangas before I can pass my final judgement though... but working off the first GN, the ANIME gave more detail this time.

I totally agree with linna. The manga tents to be better in most cases... I haven't seen the anime yet but i have expierience in this same kind of situation with love hina.

Personally I think the manga blows the anime out of the water. When Chobits came out as an anime along with Samurai Deeper Kyo I was following both mangas and the anime version disappointed me greatly.
