Just finished the series fansubbed, and have a couple questions which I'm not sure whether or not they were actually answered in the series since I don't know a word of Japanese and some of the translations seemed iffy at best.

1.) What exactly is the story behind Aura? From what I've gathered, she's Harrold Hyuek's daughter(IRL or somehow just in the game?) and is somehow integral to Morgana's plot(though her awakening certainly doesn't seem to lessen Morgana's power at all in the last couple minutes of Ep. 26). How exactly is Aura significant at all to the main plot, and why is she linked with Tsukasa's thoughts? Also, what happens to her when the field the group was standing in is deleted?

2.) Who, or what, is Maha? The Scarlet Knights seemed to lose interest in him very quickly, and he doesn't really do much of anything throughout the entire series until he sacrifices himself in the end. Is he really a player? Why is he powerless to do anything but what Morgana tells him to do? Why can't he just stop the 3 guardian-type monsters in Ep. 25 like he did with Tsukasa's earlier in the series? And if he so obviously disagrees with Morgana's intentions, why is he so furious with Tsukasa when he thinks of going against Morgana's plan?

Again, not sure how much of this is answered in the series, but any answers would be appreciated.

I think Maho is also powered by Morgana.... He wouldn't have a choice on what to do... I doubt his power is generated by himself...

I'd like to know who Morgana is...

My opinion is...
The twisted man made the game... So is morgana the twisted version that the RPG turned into?

I think that Aura is a bit strange... She's quite disturbing in the other hack anime's... ;)

Aura is an AI created by Harald. He considered her his daughter. It would seem she was planned to replace Morgana. Morgana didn't like this one bit, and rebelled.

He's not a human. His role in SIGN is mostly as a subserviant NPC to Morgana. After his rebellion, some...odd things are done to his data. His fate is revealed in the games.

For some reason, Morganna couldn't just destroy Aura. I'm not sure why. However, once Aura awakened, that option was granted to her. At the same time, Aura had access to weapons that could fight Morgana. (To be given to Kite in the games.)

Harald had previously tried to make an AI, a "proto-Aura" but that had failed. (This occurs in the book ".hack//AI Buster) My guess, AI's require some data from human beings. (Which raises interesting questions about Morgana. If I had to guess, Emma wasn't as nice as Harald thought.)

So to finalize Aura, Harald probably needed to pick a human with the right qualifications, and tie their data into Aura's. Morganna interfered with this process, and tied Aura to the most screwed up human she could find. Tsukasa. Tsukasa's psyche was such a mess that as long as his true self was buried, Aura would never awaken.

Aura survives the Net Slum crash, but is hunted by Skeith.
