View Full Version : Is there a difference between the two Dances of Gasara???

Well I think that there are two Dances of Gasara. The one that calls the Terror down in Shockwave form and the one that Yushiro used before he piloted the Kugai. Now the both seem roughly the same except that the Kugai one seems a bit shorter, but that might be because of time wasting, and the fact that we have seen him do it two times already up to this episode. Now if the dances are roughly the same, how can they have two different effects? Would it be based on their train of thought or something. But even this I'm not sure of because Yushiro goes in a trance, and I don't think you can think straight when you’re in a trance. So anyone have any ideas???

Interesting idea. I was wondering about this myself, as I was thinking that perhaps there is one dance that can summon kugais, and another that summons Gasara itself, but I'm not sure, I need to rewatch more episodes. Which I can't do at the moment since my friend is borrowing the DVDs. I'll have to get them back soon.

The first time the trance is broken...

And the dance is meant to summon the Kugai isent it...

(I think that was said... somewhere... maybe)
so it stands to reason that once the kugai is on earth the dance would be shorter beacuse all that is happening is the actervation rather than the teliportation...

This is what is kinda wierd. They are two different dances. The first one hes trying to summon 'The terror' when he does that basically hes opening a portal, the portal is causing the shockwave. Now, this is where it gets confusing, there are some who beleive the Kai is actually then becomming the terror, kinda like a shell for the spirit/demon, then some beleive hes just summoning the guy into the world. The second dance hes actually summoning the spirits to help him control the kugai, and/or infuse the kugai with a spirit so it would awaken. Or just awaken the kugai, maybe itself is a living spirit.

On that note, if i remember right the kugai were given by the gasaraki to the kai so they could control japan. Now, thinking about this on another thread, did they actually ever summon demons to fight? or just summon demons to give them the kugai? guess thats something that should be for another thread, and after ive rewatched the series.

I've been rewatching the series and actually they're the same dance. In fact the shockwave is meant I think to signal the arrival of one of the Kugai (remember how Miharu says "That's the beat that summoned the terror!") and the dance is simply used as a way to control the Kugai. I could be wrong since I haven't rewatched the whole thing yet and my memory is a little hazy.
