OK, I agree that most of the gates have some kind of idea or element behind them. So what's Shun's? I think it's wind but I guess it could be some other wierd idea. If this is in the big thread sorry.

Actually, it's the gate of gale. Which, probably is just the show's fancy way of saying wind, since a gale is a strong wind. (VERY strong)
Btw, this is mentioned in one of the episodes.
