When did this show jump the shark?

For all of you that have seen this show, I think that we all can agree that it has steadly gone downhill since the AWESOME beginning it had....but when exactly did the show go wrong?

hmm. i liked the ending also.. the first few episodes after the beginnging were nice too.

IMO as soon as Incognito was introduced....the raid on Hellsing mansion was really cool i thought but got weird after that

I certainly noticed a drop in animation quality in the later half of the series. And, the plot kind of fizzled away to nothing..............Which is why I am not buying Hellsing on DVD.

The guys doing the anime decided to throw the plot out of the window after the raid on the Hellsing mansion, Incognito wasn't a part of the original Hellsing story as seen in the manga. The manga continues with Alucard and Victoria leaving for South America to kill some nazi vampires and is a good lot better from what I've seen so far.

For example the first chapter of volume 3 (there are 6 volumes, the second ending in the Hellsing mansion attack) Alucard talks a bit more on why he turned Victoria into a vampire (supposedly just on a fluke or something :) ) and there are two quite amusing scene. One is Victoria yelling to the new mercenaries on how they can't even hit a target with practically no aming at 4500 meters (which is quite impossible) and the other was Integras comment when she finds out they're intending on shipping Victoria in a coffin across the Atlantic (vampires are supposedly unable to cross flowing waters and oceans). "This will never get past customs..." :D

They had a tight budget so what do you expect from a small community of vampire lovers? It sucks as piority is given more to GateKeepers21 OVA and others.

Man, i just got an image of Alucard on water skies jumping a shark ala the Fonze. And then him going "Ayyyyyye!"

Anwyay, first time I saw it, I was a little disapointed and a bit confused. On the second watching, I enjoyed it more and it seemed like a better ending.

Then again, I think a big thing to remember is that it's not an ending. The manga's still going and they stopped the anime there and are waiting for the manga to finish or get further. I know there are some differences, but I'd love to see more Hellsing based on the manga.

I like it all the way through, but maybe cause I didn't read the manga first. However, it did suck a little that PAA wasn't in it.
