Hellsing(Alucard) Vs. Vampire Hunter D (Alucard)

I have seen both of them in action and was thinking, who was the better vampire, D OR Alucard(Hellsing). I mean there both dracula but each one of them brings their own unique and drastic style to the front. Which brings up this question, who do you think is the better vampire and why? I would state my case for D, but I am interested to hear some opinions here before I let loose.

I think D is the better classic gentlemanly vampire while Alucard was the better evil vampire. D gets cool points for his sword-fighting skills and his unassuming demeanor. Alucard gets cool points for his arrogant firearms and his thunderously brash attitude. The more effective vampire is Alucard, hands down. D isn't actually a full vampire and he hunts bloodsuckers, so he doesn't get any points for following the traditional path of a vampire.

They both have magical powers and they both have their own powerful amount of the vampire attraction...but I'd rather share a beer with Alucard than D. :D

Sure D has a sword but really those 2 hand cannons blow it away.
And his magic really is nothing near Alucard.

Arucard. I once thought D was the best vampire, but now he seems kind of blase compared to Arucard's wickedness... :lol: Arucard has so much fun being a vampire (well, when he's not bored, that is), and it's a nice change from the usual angsty vampire heros like D.

Also, ditto on what Drizzten said. He said basically everything I wanted to say (only a lot quicker, darn him)... so I won't bother to repeat it.

Now, to be fair, there are several situations where I'd want D instead of Alucard.
If I wanted a guy to help me move my stuff to a new apartment.
If I needed an opinion on some writing.
If I wanted help learning how to ride a horse.
If I thought I needed tips on how to be smooth and collected.
I just wouldn't trust Alucard in those situations. :lol:

I cannot decide so I just say that it would end in a stalemate. TThey would shake hands, grab a beer at the pub, and then get pissed at each other over the aformented topic and the cycle would start again.

I have to agree, Arucard/Alucard etc. is a pretty dumb name.......im tired of so many dracula this and thats. I like Alucard and D the same tho Alucard gets my vote in magical and physical strength, but to a girl.......i think D would get the sex appeal pretty boy looks and the charm.......but that hand would ruin it for him.......damn talking hand :mad:

I'm gonna agree on the Alucard/Arcard topic. I hate how people almost always use it as the default male vampire name. Way over-used

somehow i don't think shaking hands with D would be a good idea.

In terms of coolness and finesse my vote goes to D but in terms of no holds bar butt kicking Im for Alucard

I don't know what to say. I pretty sure D is simular to Blade in the way that if he drinks blood more of his Vampiric poweres would manifest. Question is would he consider Alucard enough of a threat to do so.... YES!!! Know Alucards arrogance and longing for a good fight he would let him drink someones blood, maybe even his own. I guess this fight depends on who you like the most. I'd much rather see Blade vs Iscariot!
