How good quality are Boogiepop R1 dvds? What about R4(Madmans)? Are there any difference between these two (R1 vs R4) in quality(picture, sound etc.) and in content?

Also I have heard that Japanese Boogiepop DVDs are some sort of "director's cut"?

I'd also like to know how many times you've watched the whole series.

And does someone have Boogiepop And Others DVD and want to get it subbed? (I know some fansub guys who'd like to sub it but don't have the raw)

I've only seen the region one DVDs; couldn't find anything worth critisism with those, praise rather.

I've watched three times I believe it is - once subbed, once dubbed and once with director's cut.

I found that the R1 DVDs are pretty good quality, they are one of my most prized possession in my DVD collection. The director commentary is actually pretty interesting and gives some cool points on the series. I have never seen the Madman release (R4) so I don’t really know anything to compare the two. Finally I have seen it twice dubbed, twice subbed and once with the directors commentary. If you are thinking of buying the DVDs I would defiantly recommend them this is a really great series and pretty much wow's anyone who I show it too.
