Heh...my first post in the Gundam forum....
Despite the fact that I've never watched the show :sweatdrop, I've collected a few gundams in my time...I pretty much bought them because they looked f*ckin' cool.
I had quite a few, actually....up until my cousin thought they were transformers and,..uh..tried to transform them....:bawling: i'm still recovering from the shock...
most of the ones I have left (about 10 of them) are of the 1/144 variety....you know those little ones that go for $17.95AU?
I've seen that 1/60 model though......at the Cartoon Gallery....after wiping my drool off of the floor, I took one look at the price tag and promptly collapsed....

The crowd stands stunned, as the sound of the verbal whip-crack fades away...
Nice collection...I bet you have a problem with shelf space...
hahaha.. I knew Lord Satorious had a insanely huge amount of Gundams, he posted it before under some other thread. :D
after I get the 1:220 scale of the Dendrobium I gonna retire from my gundam model collecting days :)

 That was hilarious. :p
I've got me an EW Nataku, a D-Hell and a WZ, all 1/100. Plus, I've got a 1/144 WZC.
Yeek, my collection pales in comparison to L_S's. Waaah...but soon I'll have my 1/60 PG WZC... heeeeee...
Eh. I'm not really gifted in the art of building gundam kits, and have quite a small collection:
Gundam Wing:
Heavyarms with trowa 1/144
Deathscythe Hell 1/144
Gundam Wing Zero 1/144
Epyon 1/144
Gundam X:
Gundam X Double Divder

I can't be bothered to type in my entire list of Gundam kits, but I've got 40+ kits, ranging from the Perfect Grades, to the Super Deformed. My latest aquisition was the MG Kampfer. :D
I think Lord Sartorius' collection of Gundams is cool..., *drool* :D
Eva Series
21-05-01, 01:14 AM
All I have is:
Perfect Grade Wing Zero Custom
1/100 models: HeavyArms Custom, Deathscythe Hell, Altron, Serpent, Wing Gundam
1/144: 2 Taurus, Vayaete, Mercruise, Zero, Nataku Custom, HeavyArms custom, Deathscythe Hell, Sandrock Custom, Tallgeese 3
Figures: HeavyArms, Sandrock, Wing Gundam
I am pretty damn sure that Lord Satorious has the most Gundam models out of anyone on the messageboard, unless someone who haven't posted yet care to take the podium and prove me wrong ?
Hrm.. last I checked I now only have around 20 odd, had around 50, but gave away all my High Grade, a few SDs and lower grade Gundams to friends, cousins etc. Only kept the ones that I really liked, like the all my B-Club Gundam Models and all my Master Grades (the really expensive ones). :D
Personal favourite model to date, probably still my B-Club Blue Destiny, just till I can afford to the get B-Club 1:220 Dendrobium. :D

I only got a handful of Wing models, a almost-done Serpent Custom 1/100th, a few MG's, and an F91 kit that's waiting to be built and painted. I'd buy more MG's, but the price is expensive for someone w/o steady income. Once the HGUC's hit my local TRU though, I'll be snapping up those puppies faster than you can say "Elbow Smash"!
Squall, is it really possible to be TOO obscessed with the Gundam universe? Methinks not. :p
LS, you wouldn't happen to know how to make custom decals with a printer, would you? (Need's some for his upcoming diaorama.)
Squall Leonhart
23-05-01, 02:21 PM
no as long as you dont start refering to yourself in the 3rd person
and other things. umm as long as LS dosent change hes
name leggaly to gato, char, or amoro(probably spelled it wrong)
and thinks gundaium is a real metal and there are space colonyes
and that he has to free them using MS then i think heel be obessed
but not overdone(i say this about LS cause hes the most obessed here[no offense to you LS])

Well, there has been metal discovered on asteroids that are so strong that, after many diamond head drills and several years, NASA has only just literally scratched the surface a few inches. If they could figger out how to mine it efficiently, it'd be the next best thing to real-life Gundanium.

Yeah, but what if my TRU gets them in a day early?:D
And here's a Gunpla tip for everyone: Don't buy it if you are going to be in debt for a year. Then you miss out on all the other cool kits. (Is saving for PG Zaku II. This summer, I WILL get it!:) )

DarkPrimus
20-06-01, 01:51 PM

Squall Leonhart
21-06-01, 12:02 PM
at a hobby shop for 160
DarkPrimus
21-06-01, 09:44 PM
That's a bit much, but to get it in the U.S., I'd say that isn't bad.
I'll be buying from HLJ, natch.
Lord_Satorious, on the topic of whether or not the core fighter that comes with the HGUC RX-78-2 folds up, I just got the old HG one, and that core fighter folds up. So why wouldn't the HGUC one?
Squall Leonhart
22-06-01, 02:01 PM
yea that would be cool. imean comonn how many models have a fighter core system in there gut
Manathern
22-06-01, 02:37 PM
:eek::eek:
DarkPrimus
24-06-01, 05:35 PM
The core fighter even fits inside the HG RX-78-2, but there is no waist joint because of that. So even if the core fighter folded up for the HUGC version, it wouldn't be able to go inside the torso. (Unless you MODIFY! Hehehe...:D )
Must....get....extra copy of HG RX-78....
EVA fiend
24-06-01, 06:03 PM
Why not get the Master Grade version of the RX-78-2 instead? Looks mental.., & the core fighter is removable too!! :D

24-06-01, 10:03 PM
i kinda want to get both since theres no way i can put my gundam into a diorma with a zaku until next year cause all hobbie shops near me havent even heard of the word gundam much less care. so until next summer in down in miami then i can get a zaku,
but on the other hand. i can get the 1/100th or 1/144th uc models at toys r us somtime during this fall to summer. unless they cheat the ---- outta us like not putting up the tallgeese III in 1/100th scale. nto that its that good or anything just that i want it to make a diorama and i like to save money cause i nead all 3 of them
DarkPrimus
25-06-01, 12:23 PM
Order from hlj.com
Buy in bulk, and even with the shipping, you'll save a lotta cash. It'll take a while, but the models will arrive. And if you lose a part, they will replace it for free. AndI can personally gar-un-tee that they won't rip you off.
Well it's been awhile since I was in this forum and it's been awhile since someone else has posted one of these ^_^
The last one only had me LS and Evafiend
I have about 40+ as well but I don't have any of the PGs (thank god for that too! I'd be living in the gutter!), most of mine are 1/144 HGs and 1/100HGs and about 5 MGs
Anyone have the 1/100 MG Hyakushiki? (the gold chrome mech from Zeta) and is it worth getting?
Tsunami-X
03-07-01, 02:41 PM
well i don't have a MG Hyakushiki, but take a look at this image and tell me it's not worth getting..... i love the gold plating on this thing!! (i know it's not real gold but it still looks good!)

The Master Grade Hyakushiki is an excellent kit...., it looks mental!! :D As with all MG kits, the attention to detail is amazing, but one of the best features of the kit are how the pieces are set on the sprues..., the pieces are set on the sprues in such a away that when you snip the pieces off, there are no marks on the seen surface..., so little or no painting is needed at all..,
