awright... if you've seen the end of Escaflowne... didn't the war seem peculiar? There was a weapon that an army that dropped a secret weapon that just wiped out the three armies from Zaibach.. DING DING DING!!! World War 2!!! Atomic Bomb anyone?

When they were showing the armies, here are the uniforms present... There's england, us, Japan and Germany... countries who played a big role back in the world wars... sound familiar? Was the creation of Gaea referring to the reawakening of humanity when the world wars struck? was that the "actual" atlantis they were refering to? was it?

darn... is there anyone i could talk to? please please please!!!

Oui! I love Escaflowne, and I am here!

I think that you are completely right! There is alot of symbolism there, and it might just go deeper than you think! The secret weapon does seem to be an Atomic Bomb. I also noticed the probable symbolism in the uniforms. Just as it is in the film "The Wall" where Pink's army is structured after the Nazis to show the relation of his army in the film's world as it would be in real life. I think the creation of Gaea was referring to the reawakening of humanity because of the relations from how after a war lives are changed and life wi;ll never turn back to as it was before. a war brings a turning point. There are so many versions of Atlantis in literature, I don't think it's possible to prove which Atlantis they were talking about. Also, If we could, which one would you consider the "actual" one?^^ Oky, I'm done now. Au revoir!
