.....that I really love this series
My local anime club has been screening this as part of the years program. And out of all the other series being shown (along with Onegai Teacher and GiTS:SAC), Fruits Basket is proving to be the most popular.
Me, I have already seen the first six eps and I'm finding much to enjoy in this series. The set up is interesting (it seems like a gender-reversed Love Hina), the characters are engaging (I particularly like Shigure as well as Yuki and Tohru) and there a belly-laughs aplenty.
But I admit it: I have developed an empathy for Tohru. What I find appealing is her determination to help out everyone she meets having been orchestarted from her relations and her classmates.
Now here's a question for you all. Is this a shojo series?
Okay, so maybe I feel a touch odd for liking a shojo series but hey, I also like Card Captor Sakura. :dodgy:
BTW, does anyone else out there find the opening and closing music strangely sublime?
