Ok now that I've finished the series, I noticed something. Shisou says that his grandfather had the curse of the cat and died alone. But...um...if that's his grandfather then someone must have loved to him to have his children. And how could that be unless she was a juuniishi too or never hugged him during *you know*. Is he not Shisou's actual grandfather or something? Did the curse show up in mid-life?

Details, details.

There may be some sort of bondage fettish associated with the curse

...You know, I think that's probably one of those points you're supposed to ignore. Kinda like, "Can female Ranma become pregnant?"

But to tell you the truth, I wondered the same thing myself. Maybe he was a sperm donor?

I NEVER ignore the small points. A true artist would give everything a meaning. But then hey, this is anime. I was just thinking who Shisou's grandmother was would make a cool flashback story.

Heheh, well maybe...

Well, a lot of writers get lazy and ignore their own plotholes. Takaya-sensei probably figured that Kazuma's such a minor character that no one would bother trying to figure this out.

Clearly, she has underestimated anime/manga fans XP

Yeah, I'm sure serialized manga artists are on such a tight schedule it can be difficult to plan out everything. Still, I think the mystery of Kazuma's grandmother would make an awesome side-story flashback!

The cursed cat person suffers pretty much the same curse that the members of the 12 ishi does, save for the fact that it has the 3rd form.

Those who are cursed change into their animal form only when they're hugged, get nervous or weak. There ARE certain body parts that can be touched. I also happen to notice that they only change when you touch the abdomen or torso part. That seems to be the hot spot. There are certain poses where you can hug the head (kana and hatori) and not change. There are ways to have sex without "hugging." I'm only curious about the getting excited part. o_O
