View Full Version : New Stage?
I heard a wonderful rumor from a friend that ther is talk/plans to make a new Initial D stage (Fith Stage?) where Takumi gets to race Bunta in a WRX. Is this true or is this just another false hope?

That would be the rumored fourth stage. No solid info on it yet. Im hoping sales from Initial D in America will convince the people who make the anime to produce the fourth stage. If they do make it then Takumi should drive against(its not a race. Takumi doesnt even know its Bunta) the wrx.

The interview on my Making of Third Stage DVD they say that they would like to continue on with Initial D but as akaflakes said there isnt any solid information about it.
If there is a Fourth Stage, Im sure its going to be one of the best after seeing Third Stage the 3D CG and the battles it can only get better ... right?

Pretty soon they are just gonna have to have real cars. That is if they keep uping the 3d cg quality

they just need to make their own grafix engine, or use something fancy like the newest quake or unreal, then model each car, tweak the physics and whalaa!
but yeh, rumors...

If only the producers and financiers of anime would read Boards like this and Just give us what we want.
In a Race I am a R32 fan myself. GT-R... (Drooooolllllll)

I've been surfing about and found something as close as it gets to that.
T'was a video of one of the Japanese Drift Kings, forgot the name exactly. I believe it might have been the guy who drove the RL car clips in the early eps of 1st stage. He takes an AE86 against a Skyline in RL and it's quite good. If you can find it, you might consider taking a look into it.
Kinda ironic, since the drift king grew up in a poor family. He also drove an AE86 Trueno and went all over the mountains. His license was revoked once because he continued to race around the mountains despite police requests I think. I might have some info slightly off, but that's the general gist of it.

He also helped in Third Stage, he took Takumis VA for a spin in his 86 boy was he scared.
Theres a couple of his DVDs ive seen around in my local animshop, it has Initial D plastered on the front :p
Im not too sure if this guy is the one, but from my knowledge the Drift King is Keiichi Tsuchiya.
I've heard from one of my friends at my Uni anime club that there is going to be a 4th stage, something about takumi racing in the professional leagues.

In the pros eh, but what about the Kengai Racing team? Maybe Fourth Stage deals with both Kengai Racing team and Takumi going to the pros but that mean id be a pretty long series then I dont think they could fit that into 26 episodes.
Hmm Takumi in the pros, bah it wouldnt be as good as him screaming down mountain passes

some stuff i picked up about the rest of the series in manga. there is about 10 more volumes of manga past where the anime stops. apperantly TP plans them all? (go to their site).
we know takumi joins the new team. he gets beat by his dad some night with his dad in a WRX. at some point he races a pro driver. blah

indeed the true king of the mountain is Bunta..no denying it ..
10 more eh...might as well considering they sum up 1st stage in only 5 manga...wonder why they stoped making anime for it...lack of funding perhaps?
a real life Inital D ....well considering they are making a Real life sailormoon show...it could happen..thought it might encourage more people to drive off mountain courses.....i mean drift around mountain courses...mybad..

There are already people doing touge runs though. Some people in Japan actually already do mountain pass running and such so it's not entirely a myth.
Of course, it is illegal.
Ran across a team site earlier. Just do a search for "Velocity Racing."
