Keisuke vs Nakazato battle

I rewatched this battle today, and I have a question.

The end part where its the last corner downhill, the FD pulls up side by side with the R32. Its kind of hard to tell but does Keisuke overtake him but "riding" the gutter with his rear tires?

Hmm I coulda sworn there was some screeching noise of some sort when he dropped his tires in, I guess ill check the battle again sometime later.

I thought the screeching noise was just him breaking the back tyres loose. I could be wrong though

He slipped his tires into the dirt of that area creating like a slide kind of motion this made it easier for him to angle the car. Its kinda like when takumi gutters but i fink he did it to lose more traction

Yeah he slipped his rear tyre into the gutter, doing a Takumi. It's much more clearer in the Battle Stage version of the battle.

takumi dosent slip both of his rear tires into the gutter only his side two tires.. but thats just nit picking..

yeah..he ran his rear into the gutter to lose traction and to set up his car for the next small straight...since his front tires werent as bald as nakazto's..he had a cornering advantage so he could take a sharper line...thus alowing him to win...

No it wasn't gutter. it was more like um... gt3?? u know the dirt around the courses? kinda like that. in gt3 if u slip ur tires into the dirty just the rear ones or just the front ones u can control a turn really well as well as keep a constant speed. but in this case keisuke only did it to angle his car around r32. Since r32s wheels were fucked and he was 4wd r32 had no choice but to grip turn the corner but as keisuke (being a better driver) and having better wheels he could slide past him. Its almost exactly the same way trueno passed ryousuke
