Kai, Masenko is the blast that Gohan (as a kid) learns from Piccolo. FUNi, just being naturally stupid (hope there're no FUNi reps in this board), dubbed it into Kamayamaya. So now, people are seeing two moves called Kamayamaya, which is really messed up (Note: Gohan doesn't actually learn Kamehameha till later, and even then, I don't think they actually show him learn it).

Oh, and, Masenko is kinda weak. I believe that Kamehameha is supposed to be the strongest ki attack in the series (though, Vegita with a powerlevel about 18,000 and Galic Gun was on par with Goku using Kamehameha and a powerlevel about 25,000).

oh anyway it's just a gripe I have about pronunciation, in the Dub they always seem to say Kamaya maya (as opposed to Kamehameha) and yet they still break it up into KA-ME-HA-ME-HA. It just annoys me some how.

i always thought that the masenko was the blast generated by putting his palms together above his head while the kamehameha is done the way it is. as for how it is pronounced - in the cell saga, Gohan actually says ka-me-ha-me-ha.

well whenever it's broken up into syllables (i.e. when Goku does the Kaiouken x4 Kamehameha on Vegita) It's said Ka Me Ha Me HA! but when said as one word it seems to be said Kamaya maya. just my two cents.

And yeah masenko is his two hands against his forehead, palms forward. but in the dub they call it Kamaya maya. Why I don't know.
