Finally picked up volume 5, watched two episodes of the four.

Ahh first episode revolved around Watanabe and co. my favorite sort of episode, those power ranger type suits were hilarous. Though i didnt like the second episode, another one revolving around Menchi what a bore ... though that part where Nabeshin powers up *ahem super saiyan* and Pedro gets an afro =)

Anyway when is the final volume of Excel Saga coming out?

The first ep is good but the watanabe eps found on vol2 are still my favourite. I've only watched the first ep dubbed but again I'm finding myself laughing at lot harder at the jokes by watanabe and co dubbed, definately the main reason I bother to watch it in english.

Ep2 is weak and ep3 is another &*%# recap episode and a bad one at that. I really liked the last episode I'm hoping that the Volume 6 will help Excel Saga come out of its lull of late.

For the record madman has a release date of May 14 for the final volume.

Uhuh episode 3 is pretty damm crap, while I do like Pedro I just dont like recap episodes well tleast the new footage of Pedro at the end was good :)

Episode 4 was alright, that Key guy and his pants o.O?!!

Episode 21 was the best. But the whole bed scene was so funny. First you see Key "Playing with his Guitar" behind the Sheet, and then you have Excel's wild imagination with Ilpalazzo and Key in, well interesting predicament. I remember Excel saying in the preview in episode 20 that episode 21 would have fan service or something like that. But who would have thought that it would have been fan service for the female viewers. Oh Well

I noticed that this volume is rated M15+ while volumes 1 to 4 are only PG, now why is that? It wasnt like this volume was that violent sure there was an excess amount of blood used on the 3rd episode of that disc bu I dont see anything else which would warrant this volume a M15+ rating.

Also in the extras that Daitenzin (sp?) ad is that and actual episode or special? Or was that a joke?

Well I think the Daitenzin ad was just an ad the probably screened on Japanese Television before episode 18 went to air. But they might make an appearance in Vol. 6 though. So I'm not 100% sure.

But the M15+ Rating is probably due to the Key bedroom scene, Hyatt's excessive bleeding in episode 20 and the mass violence in episode 18. The Cover says "Medium Level Violence" so I'm guessing it’s the latter.

Daitenzin is a doujin manga and is a spoof of the Power Rangers.............

Sadly I must say that I have. It was only the first series that I watched on a daily occasion but I am familiar with the crap that is Power Rangers. But the difference between Power Rangers and Daitenzin is that one rips of Voltron while the other doesn't. And Daitenzin doesn't have a Creepy Giant Floating Head. :heh:

Well, having never seen any Power Rangers, I can't really argue :)
