Just finished the 4-part OVA, and there is a full hacking sequence reminescent of Mission Impossible. (You know, the part where the guards are approaching and it takes 5 seconds to copy one percent of the data despite the computer system being one of the highest technology on the planet?)
Anyway, for me the ending was pretty confusing. (Especially since I don't know which part of the .Hack timeline it fits into -- end of the game? Beginning of it? Alongside .hack//sign?) It wasn't really clear what they did in the end, and it just skipped over it...
BUT, no spoilers. Liminality is about how The World affects reality, and whew, does it ever! (Episode 2)
On the other hand, who do you find cuter, Minase Mai, Kyo or Yuki-chin? Yuki-chin definitely takes on a more lively personality, and Kyo is like a mature woman, but Mai the quiet introvert is perhaps the protaganist...she has quite a lot more depth to her personality.
Also, what is the title of the violin / violin+piano song that we hear from Mai's LP records?
