i was going to use the .hack//INFECTION thread, but i noticed its a different game...sort of.

anyway, it may be a little early, but the game comes out sometime in may. anyone know exactly when?

Got Mutation a few days ago, it seems to be good so far, we find out a bit about why Blackrose is helping Kite =) Although I thought the Liminality wasn't as good as the first one, but that's just me.

anyone play the game yet? i wont be able to buy it this month since i have to pay for my cell phone :( it wors out though isnce i need to finish xenosaga first :)

lol I've finished it =) Ummm about the game, well it's a bit shorter than the first one, everything else is about the same as the first one. You have the ability to go to Carmina Gadelica. This one goes a bit deeper into the main plot. Umm you get to meet Lios, haha he's a weirdo. You also get to learn more about the Epitaph of Twilight. That's about all I can think of saying without spioling it for you, if you have any specific questions just ask & I'll try to answer them =). So, basically if you liked the first one you'll like this one. Oh and a character from .hack//SIGN makes an appearence in this one. (haha I sound like a moron :p )

im at the part where you fight the Cubia Core...and im having a hard time. i know the strategy (attack when he's at magic resistance and vice versa). but what i wanna know is what magic i should use, or what weapon. any help would be appreciated :)

For Cubia you should have a character with really high attack (I used BlackRose but there's others) and someone with a really high magic stat (wavemaster). Then when Cubia core is resistant to magic tell the high attack chara to attack and the wavemaster to heal you, and when it becomes phys. resistant tell everybody to use magic. Other than that I don't know what else I did..just make sure you have a few potions and resurects with you and you should do fine

I haven't finished the game yet, but I just love when you go in the cathedral and you see some scenes from .hack//SIGN redone with the game engine.

And it was just to cool when I met A-20 and Mimiru in a dungeon!

Just can't wait to see more of that stuff.

This may be a dumb question, but about what level are you if you start Mutation without playing the first. I'm just asking because my character in Infection is around level 37.

Level 37?? I played around for hours after completing the game and only got to Lvl 34, you have my respect.

Starting fresh in mutation gives you level 30

I just got the game today - my importer finally came through.

I've played the game for an hour and a half of which most was spent trading my old items for the more powerful stuff the people around town have and then going through the first dungeion.

First up - great to be back! It seems my pet peeve from the original is back, ie subtitles not showing up when replaying movies. There is a recap movie when you start the game and no matter how many times I tried it definately doesn't screen with subtitles so I had to listen to it dubbed! The horror!! Movies in-game have subtitles much like the first though. I don't have any complaints against the dub but c'mon bandai I wan't subtitles all the time!

Looks like .hack's bishie fix is already getting more screen time in part 2. I'll manage but hopefully there will be some more male friendly characters - how about a bunny? :D

Thats my impressions so far - still .hack, still good.
