It was pretty good, but there was so much stuff that made no sense. In fact it was so annoying, it brought my whole enjoyment of the manga down.

How is it that Tetsuo is so powerfull, and is able to destroy entire armies, but he gets his ass kicked by Kaneda? Physically no less. Didn't a clown hit him with something, and it didn't even phase Tetsuo, then in the same manga, Kaneda hits him with a pipe, and Tetsuo goes down for the count. I felt like ripping out my hair because of the lack of continuity. Then later on, Kaneda dukes it out with his fists, and Tetsuo even begs him to stop! Horrible. I have no other words to describe that. Simply horrible writing.

Wasn't Tetsuo capable of telekinetic powers? He was able to manipulate anyone (ie. rip them apart, or hold them to the ground, toss them around, etc), but Tetsuo never does that when he fights with Kaneda. He just stands there, and is on the receiveing end of his attacks. Wtf?

Another thing. Wasn't he able to blow apart part of the moon? But yet, he has such trouble with the American navy fleet, he wastes his time controling a jet to attack the carrier, why not use a similar attack to what he used on the moon?!

Also Kaneda, Kei, and that fat cow are too powerfull. The enemy could unload entire clips at them, but hit nothing but air. Also their characters were very annoying, and I really hated them. I found Kaneda's hatred for Tetsuo to be quite pathetic. It just made me hate his character even more. The whole time, I was just waiting for them to die, but in the end, barely a scratch on them.

....uh....uh-nu-uh. *shrug* My guess is as good as yours.

But maybe Tetsuo still had a soft spot for Kaneda and was going easy on him? I mean, damn...he did smack Tetsuo up a few times, but not near as bad as anyone else.

The Clown never hit Tetsuo, he stopped the chain with TK. The fact is that Tetsuo is still just as vunerable physically as he was before his powers became active. As for Kaneda being able to hurt him instead of Tetsuo stopping him, I think it's a psychological thing, since Kaneda had always been Tetsuo's peer, Tetsuo subconciously feels inferior to Kaneda.

He can take a bullet. Several in fact. He even stoped a laser blast with his hand, and a direct hit with the satelite laser only burned off his arm. Not to mention he survived the annihilation of Tokyo, though he might have been outside of the blast radius. Not sure.

But in any case he shouldn't even have been hit in the first place. He can fly, he can teleport, but most importantly are his telekinetic powers. He could just destroy the gun, or weapon, and hold the Kaneda down. Or even better rip his body open. Not to mention some kind of annhiliation attack similar to what he used on the moon.

That might be the case... I wont rule it out.

Surviving all that was because of his psychic powers. A human being cannot stop a weapons-grade laser beam with their hand, no matter how physically fit they are.

My point is he can stop a laser but he can't stop Kaneda's fists, which makes no sense.

OK, if you complain about the manga not making any sense, you damn well better not be a fan of the movie.

First of all, Tetsuo's power level fluctuates greatly, as does his control of his powers and his mental state. Tetsuo is by no means rational.

Getting hit in the head does the same to Tetsuo as it does to anybody else; it's just that Tetsuo could deflect the attack mentally, and most likely annihliate the attacker, too. His taking damage from Kaneda had nothing to do with the attacks themselves; it was because it was Kaneda, and you should know if you read it that he has long running issues with Kaneda.

It really hasn't been that long since I read the manga, but I am unfortunantly having a mental lapse and haveno recollection of the moon incedent. I thought he did it with SOL?

No, Sol wasn't even aimed at the moon. Tetsuo teleported to the moon (a crater on the moon to be exact), and created some kind of explosion that caused a meteor shower, and great tidal forces on Earth.

Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me.

Lame explanation, but I would imagine that his powers are increased in space, due to there being no gravity and thus less resistance.

How are psychic powers increased by the lack of gravity?

Think about it. He uses his powers to affect matter, flinging it around and blowing ---- up and such. Gravity would resist thermal implosions and all that. Vacuum would be a better medium to cause destruction in.

The way you stated it originally made no sense.
