Todays episode was the last of Season 2 for the American audience. Toonami will start the show over again at episode 1 on Monday. Grrr...its makes me so mad. Why couldn't they have gone just a little further? The Dark Tournament is only 10 or so episodes longer. Gah, and I was all set up to watch the battles between Kuragasa/Kurama, Bui/Hiei, Little Toguro/Kuwabara, Big Toguro/Yusuke.

Funimation better not take as long as they did between Season one and two.

They are? Dude, that's just not right. ><

On the plus side, here in another month or two I'll get to see the ep with Miyuki that I missed the first time. I'm dying to see the "Guys... she's faking her injuries" line in all its dubbed glory.

Yuck! Man, why can't they find a natural stopping point to cut off at instead of stopping in the middle of a major story line? Well, I'll say this much -- at least the didn't stop in the middle of a battle or something. It still would have been better to finish the Dark Tournament, but it's better than ending on a cliff hanger episode like they did with Inuyasha. I won't say what that was though in case people haven't seen it and don't want to be spoiler, but it was a little mini-plot that spanned a couple episodes and they quit before it resolved. Bad decision. At least with YYH they've stopped before the final round actually started, but that still leaves us hanging for months to find out exactly how the Dark Tournament finishes. *sigh*

y did they have to stop before kurama's fight!??!!! its not right! they should have stopped it after their fight so they wont kill me from me going insane!! i hope thay start the new eps soon!! im so depressed now :sulkoff:

Their original plan was to go another 6 episodes and end the season at an even 60.

However, Kurama's fight is, IIRC, 3 episodes. Maybe 2. Hiei's is 1 episode, and Kuwabara's is 2.

This would mean that if they ended it there, they would end it just as Toguro and Yusuke were about to begin the final round to decide who would win the tournament. They would probably stop after

it'll take months for the new season to air, the closest i can say is september/october, if not, feb 2004. but i could be wrong, they could decide to air new eps in the summer, but i doubt it

also, YYH will be gone from the current line-up and be transfered to SVES (the block where .hack//SIGN is playing in)

It better come back to either Adult Swim or Toonami when new episodes start. I'd be tearing my hair out trying to watch those episodes once a week. A 26 episode series once a week is pain enough, but a 112 episode series with 1 episode a week?

Damn, they're moving YYH to Saturday nights later on? I have to agree with Robotech Master here -- that's just painful. A really long series airing one episode per week? A 26 episode series airing one episode a week takes 6 months (half a year) to complete. That's bad enough, but putting an even longer series there is an awful decision.

LOL, I remember International Channel aired all 291 (I believe that's right) episodes of Dragonball Z one episode a week. I think I caught it when they were in the Freeza saga circa my Sophomore year of High School. DBZ ended on IC in my Sophomore year of College!

LOL, and DBGT has been going on ever since, only 10 or so of its 75 episodes shown so far.

That's the way Adult Swim was before. One episode a week.

Timer record with a VCR -- the solution to nearly all "this show's on at a bad time" problems. Why does it seem like so many people around here have an aversion to using VCRs to tape shows?

And yes, AS used to be on once a week (Saturday night), but I don't think they were showing any really long series at the time. If the series is 13 or 26 episodes, you're done in 3 or 6 months. A long time, yeah, but OK. Air a 100+ episode series one per week and you're looking at 2 years or more to finish one pass through -- that's just ridiculous.

I was dissapointed to find out that season 2 ended before Kurama's and Hiei's match. I reallywanted to see Youko Kurama duel it out with Karasu, since Karasu *loves* Kurama the most  right. But I really really really wanted to see Hiei fight Bui, even through the animation gets horrible.

*sighs*
