has anyone seen mahou tsukai tai? or know anything about it? i was interested in seeing it, but then again i dont even know where i could buy it.

i have heard about it and i really really want to see it.but Media Blasters bought the rights so i cannot get the fansubs.





it should be out pretty soon.i read about it my Animerica Megezine that it would be.

Maho Tsukai Tai is extremely funny and definitely worth a look. Like Jordan says, the rights have been bought so you'll have to do a lot of searching to find fansubs...the fansubs will be mainly of the TV series, which continues the story of the OVA.

The characters are really annoying. They all suck in their own way. The saving grace of the show is that it can be quite funny, if you can get past the idiot characters.

yeah its got its funny moments - but i'm not really a huge fan of this series though.

the storyline (or lack of - from what i've seen anyway) , characters, music..etc... doesn't really appeal to me.

the animation isn't that bad though

couldn't you just rent those from wonderworld? they have both of the tapes that have been relesed in america there...

Well, I like the show, even if no one else does. I can't claim the characters are terribly original since almost all of them have been seen before in one anime or another (ditz, ditz's best friend, glamour girl, nerd with overactive imagination, flamingly gay male infatuated with nerd, evil woman with killer laugh and 'huge tracts of land...') but they still have a charm that shines through. Plus, the premise, high school witchcraft club versus alien invaders, is fun. I suppose a show doesn't have to be original to be good, but I must admit it won't appeal to everyone.

:up: While its not my usual fair of watching material on my plate, I have watched MTT.... and i'd say it has its moments of comedy and fun. I'd say borrow it and see whether or not it is for you. Oddly I happened to like this series (it was a complete shock to me) and i ended up buying the 2 commercial releases on dvd. (the dubs are evil though.... ugh. :dead: )

and another thing, MTT is one of my favorite series, the animation is one of the best i've seen, way better than evangelion, it's too bad not many ppl LOVE this series, it deserve better
