The ending of xcess *Spoilers*

Has anyone seen all the way to the end of Excess?

Are we to assume that Maki resigned the police after being forced to kill her husband? Is the new chief just some random girl who continues the Warrior tradition or is there a significance to who she is?

I didnt really take to the ending that much but I guess it works.

I don't really know what to make of that. In the second picture we can see a spot just below the woman's mouth. This doesn't appear in the first picture or the last one with Maki in it. Is there any close-ups of Maki's face out there. The woman is wearing the same colour lipstick as Maki and her figure looks about the same ( :drool: ) from what I remember seeing in that last ep. I still reckon it is Maki with died hair and new glasses but that's because I can't think of anyone one else it could be and I think it fits the ending very well.

Ending wise I thought it was alright IMO it felt sort of rushed in those 2 last episodes, I never expected that Maki's lover would turn out to be "Harry"

I like the idea that the new police chief is Maki, so she comes back with a new identity to take the position of police chief.

Hmm...I've never considered it could be Maki. To be honest, I don't think it is, as much as I'd wish it to be.

I think it's maki...She's doing the same thing Harry did.

Masato was "Reborn" as Harry after the explosion. So maki pulled the same thing. She let go of her persona and all that related to Harry(including the glasses, which Harry said looked good on her) and re-created herself as a more badass police chief...:D

Eh... I never liked the idea that Maki was able to survive the blast. Someone should try to find information on this.
