Poor Kyo. His "real self" is pretty bizarre looking, and it must have been traumatizing to grow up knowing what his real form is, and seeing how other people (including his own parents) react to it.

Anyway, my question is about how he changes into that form. The bracelet keeps the transformation back, that's pretty clear... but at the beginning of the last episode he changes back to human Kyo without the bracelet. Does his true form only come out when it's raining? That would explain why he always feels bad during rainy weather, and it would explain why he changed back (since it stopped raining).

I think that's a little strange... but then so is the concept of people changing into animals when you hug them... So I guess in Furuba-land nothing is impossible... :D

Well, I'm going completely off of the anime here, but....

I think Kyo has less control over his demonic form in general, but particularly when it's raining. In my mind, that goes along with how if any of the juunishi members isn't feeling well they're more likely to transform.

I don't think this means Kyo has no control over his other form, but the bracelet makes sure he won't change accidentally. That would be why his mother was constantly checking to make sure the bracelet was still there.

Ahhhhh.... that's a good point. For some reason I was thinking that the demonic form is his natural form, and that he's always in that form when the bracelet is off. I didn't even think that maybe it's only a temporary thing that occurs once in awhile...

For all of the juunishi (and the cat) the "natural" form is their human form. Kyo just has two transformations instead of one.
