Is anyone getting this? Its a new Best Buy and Rightstuff.com exclusive being released on June 17th. Only a couple thousand are being made and I think Rightstuff only has about 200 left.
It comes with the DVDs, a newly designed art box, the official soundtrack, collectable cards, and some other goodies. I can't remember the details, but here's the link:

I'm still wavering over whether to set my preorder. I want to buy so much now...hmm I guess I better not wait too long cause they will be gone soon...*must grapple with choice*

Yeah if only this limited edition of this series came before I have gotting the first boxset they came with. Because when I hear and saw it on the rightstuf saw I was mad because I already got the first boxset they came out with, so why get the second one.

Yeah they already released a limited edition so this is the ULTRA limited edition .
If just I didn't own the normal bundle, and wasn't broke, and didn't have other things to spend my money on. *sniff*
They had some at my local Best Buy... so I went home and sold my old one on ebay, and went back to buy it. Now it's gone.
Tommarow, I'm going to go scour for some more...
Mwa ha, I got one after three Best Buys and 2.5 hours of driving.
TRSI have about 60 or so back in stock at the moment :)
apparently they made up some additional sets using the spares left over from the original production run
i ordered one as soon as i saw them back in (i was mildly annoyed with myself when i put off buying it last time when they had 180 in stock , only to find they sold out practically overnight)
*nod Nilrem* Quantity Remaining: 66 at the moment I'm writing this. This is a series that's on my list of things to consider buying, but I don't like buying series without knowing I'm going to like them. And TechTV is airing this series right now. My plan was to watch the whole thing on AU (it will take three weeks, starting now) and decide whether or not to buy it after that. After all, I'd always have the VHS tapes I recorded the shows on to watch again. I know this series is compared to Lain which I own on DVD but haven't seen yet. Asking in the BP forum is likely to get biased replies, I know :) , but do you have suggestions on what to do? I'm sure I'd survive with just the normal boxed set if the ultra limited ed. sells out. But of course it would be nice to have the special edition. I don't like buying sight unseen, but I don't know if the remaining stock will last a couple of weeks for me to use TechTV's airing to decide. So if you have ideas, I'm willing to hear them.
Edit: Nevermind, I decided to go ahead and order it after seeing the stock drop to like 58 in only a few days. At that rate, there wouldn't be any if I waited until TechTV finished showing it and then I'd be upset I didn't order it when I had the chance. It's still a bit of a gamble, but what I saw so far looks interesting enough that I'm guessing I won't hate the series so it should be a good buy.
And like I said before, you can always Ebay it if you don't feel it was worth the money.
Question: did you pay the "official" Rightstuf price of 70$, or whatever it is?
I know I can sell stuff I don't want to keep, but that can be a pain. I try to only buy stuff I know I want to keep and this is still a bit of a gamble. It's worth the money (4 DVDs, 2 CDs, plus extras for like $70 or so), I just don't know how much I'm going to like the entire series. It's good so far, but rather confusing so I'll see. The order finally shipped, BTW, so I should have it in a few days. Took them a while to send it though. And yes, I paid whatever price RightStuf was asking, $70-75 I think. I didn't really have much of a choice unless I wanted to scour the town for a Best Buy (a) with one in stock and (b) at a lower price. It was much quicker and easier to just buy it from RightStuf before they sold out again.
True, Best Buy could be a pain. Plus, at 20$ a DVD, it comes to to 80$; with two CDs at 15$ each, 110$, plus the average of 10$ for the box itself. So I guess 80$ is still a good price for it.
*nod* That's about how I figured it, too. RightStuf has the regular boxed set for $58.48 and the ultra limited edition version for $71.98. Just one of the 2 CDs is probably enough to make up the $13.50 difference so in effect the second CD and all other extra items are free bonuses. So yeah, I think you certainly get your money's worth from the package.

HAHAHAHAHAHA... I just got the Limited Edition boxset at my Best Buy for $52!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe it? I had no idea there were any left in the stores at all. And then today, low and behold, there it was (actually there were 3). What a price!!!!!! I'm sooo happy! :) Not that I want to brag or anything. ;)
