View Full Version : Do you think the Movement of the Gundams is realistic?

I was just watching GW last night and I noticed that Wufei's Gundam (Shenlong or Altron) can make its dragon arm/arms three times as long as itself, and second it can move its thermal weapon (the long stick with the 3 green flames) really really fast, that almost inhaman let alone able for a machine to do it... There is a much longer list but I don't want to bore you to death, have any thoughts?

Part of the reason that animation is created is because they can do things with it that they can't do in real life. That's what makes it interesting.

If you only saw what was possible, it would get boring. The impossible makes animation exciting. You never know what can happen.

Agreed, Shinigami, although I think that since we have populated space colonies in GW's time frame, we probably have the tech to do such crazy stuff.

I think the idea of the future of the world (in Gundam Wing, that is) could possibly come true. The world is heading in that direction right now.

that idea is not too far fetched nowadays. technology is becoming too advanced that maybe 5 years from now we'll be living in outer space. thats the beauty of animation, our imagination can go wild, making the impossible possible... :D

They've already built a space station. Who knows when they could build a colony.

i don't think that in our lifetime, there will be great colonies like on GW, it took then 200 years to get to where they were, but i do think that it is possible that colony can be built.

Hmmmm...a colony like that would take ages..:confused2

i think that altron is the most unnatural gundam, but that's just cause i hate wufei. i kinda think it's odd that it's arms extend that far... actually, it's rather creepy.

Well, I think that the Altron COULD do that. I mean, it's arms are three times the length of a normal Gundam (it's arms are folded up on themselves three times, and it appears to be the normal length before it unfolds), and Deathscythe moves it's thermal scythe just as fast as Altron moves the thermal pike.

I admit, all the things i mentioned up there could some day be possible... everything except heero's Wing Gundam/Zero, the way it transforms is totally immpossible... first the shield and buster rifle connect magically in the air then it jumps up and transforms in a split second... never gonna happen... :nono:

I have another question too, you know Deathscythe Hell's Thermal Weapons and Wing Zero's Buster Rifle? Do you think in this day and age that we could create weapons of mass destruction just like them? (shooting huge laser beams etc.)

we'll never know. but whats the use, we already have lots of weapons for mass destruction, like for example the Atomic bomb.

as far as i am concerened, anything is possible, esp. when we don't actually know how far AC 195 is in the future.

true that we have mass destruction weapons, but they are either uncontrollable or overly devastating. I personally hope that those rediculously powerful weapons in GW will not made in real life.

If you wanna get technical, you should say AC 175. ^^ That's when the Tallgeise was completed, ya know. ^^
