It's about a kid who gets stuck in an MMOG (Massivley Multiplayer Online Game). The story deals with the secret behind the game and the other players helping the kid log out of the game. The kid plays the game in a state no other player can, in a way that the player can actually feel things. That means the main character can feel pain etc. in the game itself. There is a little action, but there is more dialogue than anything. On a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 6. All I really cared for were the visuals and the music. There wasn't enough action to keep me interesting; too much talking! :p
Peace. V

Thank you V! (Sigurd Fatima-sama) at least, I can get information from some people without giving them red-bull!

is there....any fanservice?at all?
Yea... and be sure to watch EVERY episode.... because you might miss something important with the story.... I sure did :heh:.....
Too true. I watched the first 10 eps last night. For the first few episodes, I was completely lost. The storyline seems to jump around a lot. But eventually I caught on to the pacing of the show, and it's already one of the more intriguing things I've seen recently.
Strange, but I saw a dubbed episode of this on AS, and it bored the hell out of me. I'm still trying to decide if it was because it was an episode in the middle and I had no clue what was going on... or if it was because the dub voices are mind-numbingly dull.

Sorry, I bought the first DVD, and I was incredibly bored by episode 3. I nearly fell asleep. I guess this anime isn't my type. :p

Yes, this show is definitely an acquired taste by most people. Mostly for the fact that it is completely story-driven with very little action in it. The beginning parts are somewhat slow to me because they -mostly- focus on one character. But as the show progresses they span out more and you get to see into the depths of other characters and some mysterious occurrences that happen within The World. I was a bit indifferent to this series at first, but as it went on I found myself literally glued to the tv trying to soak up every possible piece of dialogue any character might say. I found it enthralling, and the fact it was deeply focused on the story to drive you through intrigued me even more, as I had never watched an anime like that before. I've been watching it on Cartoon Network though, it's kind of a slap in the face when something climatic happens and then I have to wait a whole another week to see what happens lol. I can't stand Tsukasa's english voice, it's atrocious.
On a side note, another thing I really liked was how real the characters actually are. They're the type of people you meet in everyday life and I think it was portrayed very well. I could actually deeply relate to some of the characters.
