I really like this Cel... But I can't tell if it's a real Cel used by Bones to produce the RahXephon TV series...

Do you remember what episode this is from?

And how do I tell if this is real or not besides that it has a really BIG price tag?

I've heard from someone about sequence numbers and backgrounds...

This Cel comes with a handsketch but what do I look for and ask the seller to verify that Bones made this and it's not something a fan made...

Well I havint seen every episod of Rahxephon wet, but Im pretty sure that that cell it is real is from Neo Genesis. It looks very much so like Asuka(Not sure if that spelling is right.) And in the background of the smaller image in the corner that is and Eva from Neo Genesis. be my guest to get a second opinion on this.

Why do you need MDWigs before you launch your site, I thought MDWigs has already made it clear he doesn't consider RahXephon a ripoff (or sequel) to Evangelion just like how he doesn't consider Eva a rip off of Ideon/MSG and the like.

Really Kyrakasa your reaching so much you should consider a career in the NBA.

ok, i havent participated in any Rah=Eva threads, but heres my thoughts. i do think its NOT a rip-off, as [obviously] the story is very well unique. however, some of the stuff are just so strikingly similar you cant help but think that BONES borrowed some ideas from eva. i think about it this way, bONES was inspired to write Rah after watching eva.

heres my new opinion on the whole rah vs. eva subject

every time a rah vs eva thread comes up, its always brought up how eva is a copy of this or that, well, the topic is Eva and Rah, not Eva and Ideon, not eva and gundam and not eva and my psychology book. its eva and rah, so please stop bringing up eva and other titles. theres a reason why a lot of people think eva when they watch Rah, just ponder about that for a minute.

keep in mind that i never said 'ripoff'. like i said earlier, i think eva had an influence in the making of Rah, but in no way a ripoff

It's kinda hard to prove something is not a rip off (I know you didn't say Rah's a ripoff) of something else if you can't prove the anime it ripped off is unoriginal itself.

As far as I was concerned I never really thought of Evangelion when I began watching RahXephon it was more Macross and quite a few people thought the same the difference was how they expressed themselves

Macross fans - This is giving the same vibe as Macross with the music and stuff

Eva fans - COMPLETE RIPOFF EVA is 100% ORIGINAL!

And after watching all of RahXephon you know two of the major themes throughout it was romance and music just the same as Macross.

The Macross staff went on to make Megazone 23 as their next project and that had the time difference thing RahXephon also has. Animenation's Anime Guru John has always said that Rah heavily borrowed from Megazone 23.

Some of the Macross staff also worked on RahXephon.

I'm pretty sure no reasonable RahXephon fan would deny that Evangelion didn't have an influnce on RahXephon but to call it a sequel or ripoff when Anno the creator of Evangelion himself has said he was heavily inspired by Ideon/Gundam is not right.

Anyway to end this I quote this paragraph again from another forum I post on.

I've noticed this too, Westlo. For some reason many EVA fans hold EVA to be the sacred cow of anime: holy, faultless, and untouchable. They vociferously attack anything that seems to draw influence from EVA, even though EVA itself is for the most part unoriginal, drawing from predecessors like Gundam and Ideon.

I have an EVA-fan friend who's been trying to determine the more pathetic group: pedophilic Chobits fanboys or EVA worshippers.
