I loved it from the start, the plot was an interesting one, the large amount of religious symbolism made it more intriguing since the Seven Seals are mentioned in Revelations, and the Star of David and Pentagrams throughout.
I did get sad towards the latter part when really bad things started happening to people (i.e. deaths). At least they weren't as gorey as the manga (too many decapitations in that). I could tell the ending was a bit rushed, knowing that there's still two or so volumes to go, though I've only read up untilt he 13th volume. I tend to get sad at sacrifices though, so the latter part of the series really dopressed me.
One thing that I can't get out of my head is Fuuma's ability to read people's wishes, and his wanting to grant those wishes. It remind me of that old song 'When You Wish Upon A Star'. Checking out the lyrics, it kind of makes sense.
When a star is born
They possess a gift or two
One of them is this
To make your dreams come true
When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Any thing your heart desires
Will come to you
If your heart is in your dreams
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star
As dreamers do
Fate is kind
She brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of
Their secret longings
Like a bolt out of the blue
Fate steps in and sees you through
When you wish upon a star
Your dream comes true
Fate is kind
She brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of
Their secret longings
Like a bolt out of the blue
Fate steps in and sees you through
When you wish upon a star
Your dream comes true
Obviously, the 'star' in question would be Kamui and the gift (or two) is to read peoples wishes and to grant them. Maybe somehow when everyone in the series made their wishes, they all looked up into the sky, and it was 'picked up' by Kamui's twin star.
Then again, this might seem like something completely unrelated, but it was bugging me and I had to ask others if it sounded odd.
