I believe there is a whole lot more to the androids than has been seen in the first season. Dorothy and Instro were both constructed to replace the children of their creators who were presumably lost 40 years ago. Both (presumably) have memories, either from the children themselves or more likely reassembled from the scientists minds. Instro for example has memories of a child playing the piano for Amadeus, it is uncertain exactly what memories Dorothy posseses. So I have a few questions that I hope will be answered in the second season.
1.What memories does Dorothy possess?
2.Are the memories of Instro and Dorothy from their parents, the children of the scientists, or a complete fabrication?
3.In Episode 13, "RD" the appearance of the girl in red is similiar to Dorothy's and towards the end of the episode we see a headband similar to the ones used by Beck in "Dorothy Dorothy" and "Beck Comes Back" to control her, smashed. Is the girl in red indeed Dorothy?
4.If so, who directed her to kill? Rosewater or Seebach (Schwartzwald) are likely candidates.
5. If not, was the android made by Wainright or Amadeus, the two people revealed so far to have the knowledge? Or was it an insturment of Paradigm or perhaps even something unearthed by Seebach.
6. Visions of the "event" 40 years ago depict armies of Megadeus' tearing the city apart. What possible connection could the androids have to this?
7. RD ("Red Destiny" or "Red Dorothy") refers to the Megadeus as the Chariot of God. Is this cryptic BS or is there something divine about them? If so are the androids also connected with the divine? Or are they the exclusive providence of Man?
So many questions, they have another 13 episodes to answer them too.
