Nasty Helios!

ah hem... I figured that they would change pegasus' voice to sound, well, a bit younger, when he turned into Helios, but no. Basically, it was this 40 year old man kissing a poor little girl. one less point for cloverway. and also, what is with all the changes of attacks? first it's mars flame sniper, then flame shooter, and so forth.

but i knew helios and chibi-usa (im sorry i refuse to use there american names) it was obvious it was gonna happen. your right though, they could have changed the voice, he sounds to old, like he is supposed to be wise.

Why is it that they make all these characters sound so old? In the first season dub Ami sounded like an old british lady and so did Luna. Luna sounded WAY older than in the Japanese, and WAY older than artemis (Artemis sounded like Casey Casem.)

well, i guess they wanted to use stereotypes, esp for ami. they said "well, since she is supposed to be smart, why not make her sound dull and stuffy, too. she obviously has no life." see. that ish what the bakas say. as for luna, i guess they were thinking of a british nanny. oh my. Has anyone noticed how palla palla's voice sounds almost exactly like bubbles from Powerpuff girls?

I can't stand chibi Usa in the anime. She's not nearly as bad in the manga and she's STILL pretty darn annoying. I don't like her voice in the US version either, she sounds like she has a sore throat or something. I knida liked her voice when she became the Black Lady though. She should have stayed that way.

Yeah, Chibi-Usa is pretty annoying in the anime. Did they really have to give her an entire whole season? At least in the manga, the outer senshi show up...

i dislike chibi-usa and i thinks its weird that she and helios gets paired up. he's too old for her and she's too young for him... :B:

the outer senshi's should get more airtime and perhaps a whole season for them. :B:

Actually, she's not really too young for Helios. She;s actually a lot older than she looks. She just stopped growing for some reason. When she turns into the BLack lady she's just the manifestation of what she'd look like if she's cotinued to age physically and caught up with her chronology.

helios is only supposed to be twelve, but i think that her and Peruru (from the Super S movie) looked so much more kawaii together. I luv Peruru

That's true,Asuza_chan, but it also means she hasn't matured MENTALLY. That's the key. She may be old enough, but is she mature enough. Again, a nice little fairy like Peruru would be nice.

anyway, i still dont like to see rini and helios together. whatever their ages are.... i mean, physically, they dont look good together. :B:

To Urara: Helios IS his English name. They didn't change it.

I don't think Helios and Chibi-Usa look that bad together, especially in the manga. But, yeah, I think I like Peruru better, also.

ya know though that Helios isn't really that bad I mean geez look at Mamoru and Usagi! I think it's just one of those older guy things in this show....

do you notise that happens a LOT in anime? What is it with the old Japanese men and the young girls? I remember that in Cardcaptor Sakura, he mom was like 16 and her dad like 25 whn they got married. EEEEEEEEWWWWW. Don't they have statutory rape in Japan?

I forgot were I read this but, Rini grows up and gets married to helios and they together rule crystal tokyo! can you believe it!! In one of the manga comic books of sailor moon, helios was talking about a fair princess in the future and you could see her shadow and she had those funky pointed meatballs on her head!!I feel so sorry for helios, he must be going through hell being married to a brat like rini.

You know, I did think it made sense that Rini liked Helios, though. I mean, think about it. Serena (the moon princess) fell in love with Darien (the prince of Earth) and Rini (the future princess) fell in love with Helios (the priest that protects Earth). Is it just my imagination?
