This is very important lately alot of AB member's registered email addresses have been bouncing email reply notifications back to my server swamping it! Most of these are older members with hotmail, msn, yahoo etc email addresses.

I need you guys to change or check your email addresses and manage your thread subscriptions by unsubscribing to threads you no longer need here (http://animeboards.com/subscription.php?do=viewsubscription)

To change and update your email address go here (http://animeboards.com/profile.php?do=editpassword) you will need to validate and check your new email address to reactivate your a/c.

Any member who has left or no longer checks or changes their bounced email will eventually will be deactivated and their thread subscriptions next month will be all unsubscribed.

This is the reason why the new rule for no free email addresses came info effect.

Procedural question...

Is it possible to combine (somehow) the three distinct threads on this topic from Announcements (read-only), Feedback, and MO? Because it's confusing to have to read three threads with an identical Subject line just in case one of them turns out to be different :p

Main question...

If we check our (free) email and there are no bounce messages, does that mean that nothing bounced, or that we just don't know about it?

What about newsletters/informational emails? When was the last one sent out?

Bottom line...

If we turn off all email notification, are we safe? :D

Yeah, if we have no subscriptions of any kind, do we still need to check?

Yeah only applies to you if

1. you have subscribed to threads which get replies
2. if you set up to get email notifications when someone pm's you
3. if you get a polite pm from me telling you to check or change your email addy from free email address to an ISP one :)

Umm... George, can't you just go into there accounts and disable the email reply option? You're the Administrator, you can do that.

Heh, I sort of stopped checking my mail box that received AB mail. I suppose I should change the box that the mail comes to..

Hmmmm the e-mail account that I singed up with is long dead, and I cant even access it now. I only ever use my Yahoo account. My new proper e-mail given to me by my new ISP I have no idea what it is.

your isp email will work, so if you have a net connection you should have no problems with your email

There are always free webmails and even pop3 accounts wich Eva2k never heard of wich you can use without problems with AB. I know quite a few.

I no longer have the AOL account I signed up with, so now I just use Hotmail and my school e-mail address. When I try to sign up with the justin.sowder@usm.edu address, though, it says it's been banned. Any suggestions?
