hey there... i have been presently watching Cowboy Bebop, and it is TRULY a GREAT anime. however, i have heard comments that it gets psychological and has many upcoming plot twists. granted, i have only seen eps1-4 {i am going to watch 5+6 in the immediate future} and though i am enjoying it, is it really worth my time to continue to prioritize it at the top of my list as i have been doing so?

i am looking forward to it having some {i prefer MANY} psychological plot twists... so asnwer me this...

..ARE THERE ANY? does it get psychological, or not?

thanks.

I think one of the main themes of the series is about living in the past. There's a lot of questions in the series concerning whether or not they are really alive. There are some episodes that are psychological but not to extent I believe you are looking for. I think Cowboy Bebop is more of a visually appealing action anime than a psychological series. I do recommend you see the series though. You'll enjoy it a lot.

If you want a really psychological, messed up anime, check out Boogiepop Phantom. It's been compared to Lain a lot and has a really intense storyline. I don't believe it's out commercially yet but I was able to see the first episode fansubbed and it was amazing.

okay, i am DEFITINELY going to have to watch more then... yeah, i wasn't expecting it to be as psychological as LAIN or anything, but i'm always up for questioning life!

sounds great... i am already enjoying it greatly... thanks^^

Now Boogiepop Phantom {is anybody else noticing these odd titles lately?} is something i am DEFINITELY going to have to look into. do you know of any website that i could read about it, see pictures, reviews, anything? sounds definitely good. sounds like exactly what i'm looking for.

though comparisons often fail me.

eitherway, i'll have to look for some fansubbs as well. once again, thanks for everything and anything. adieu^^

Unfortunately, since it just came out this year there's not much on the net about it. This article is the best I could find but it really describes the series well.

some pshycological episodes that you will encounter in the series will be "Ballad of Fallen Angels","Jupiter Jazz",and "Mushroom Samba"(just joking  ).

i read that you are up to episode 4.episode 5,"Ballad of Fallen Angels",is when you encounter the first major plot twists in the CB saga. This episode is a pure anime classic on it's own.this episode really put the show in it's groove.you will really like it.

after you watch it,you should check out my "Green Bird" thread.

see you space cowboys.
