I just started watching this on on Tech TV.

I thought it was going to be total crap, but it's a pretty interesting plot. Think I'll watch the entire thing.

rules. is/has spots that are really slow, but i don't know, i just really liked it.

the dub isn't that bad either, lafiel(sp) is supposed to sound like that, she's supposed to have a hard time communicating with people and talk akwardly.

Eventually, yes, the thread may get moved. I watched it on TechTV when it aired a while ago. They're showing it again now because they're premeiring the sequel, Banner of the Stars I, in a few weeks. I liked the show and saved it on tape, but I don't think I liked it enough to want to buy it. It was nice, pretty heavily character driven and not a ton of action as I recall. It can seem a bit slow because of that, but to me the ending felt rushed. It seemed like they spent all this time building up to something, then had to force the ending in only like two episodes because they ran out of time/episodes. I don't think it was necessarily bad, it just seemed like they packed an awful lot of stuff into that last episode or two in order to finish things up which gave me the impression that they took too long building up everything else earlier on in the series. I did enjoy watching it, but it wasn't so good that it made me want to go out and buy it. I have it on tape if I want to see it again. BTW, I kind of like Lafiel's voice. :)

Banner of the Stars I has a lot of action. Starship battles galore. Good god I thinkt the Battle of the Aptic Gate hosted over 40,000 starships duking it out simulaneously, and lasted like 3 episodes.

I love crest of the stars. I watched it on techtv the last time around. Also, I agree w/ something somebody said earlier. I like the dub because it does sound kind of alien, and I don't think I've ever seen or read about a universe as alien in its detail as crest of the stars.

The dub is not-so-good, so I might get the series for that reason. Guess it all depends upon the quality of the sequel...
