What's up with the Blue Seed 2 omake?

I think 'Blue Seed Beyond,' was all the anime that was produced. Shame too, since it was pretty good.

The "Blue Seed Beyond" omake theater was one of the FEW omake theater that was designed not to be a laugh off your ass joke one.

It was an attempt to please the supporters of Momiji's love for Kusinagi, since nothing was really resolved or completed in Blue seed 2. The only thing we found out is that Kusinagi is in super depressed mode and he's pissing Momiji off.

So this "romantic short" was designed as a last hurrah in a sense of a throwback love set up for the characters.
