never truly understood who they were mocking / mimicking with Kabapu... he seems so genericly mediocre that it could be a mockery of every anime made.... but with so many really juicy targets ripe for a little satire, don't you think being specifically mean would be proper?

also , i'm trying to figure out what he meant when he said

"i've boiled water in my bellybutton, and now it's teatime."

I never through of Kapapoo (sp?) as some sort of "ripoff"/parody of any anime character. Some sort of anime sterotype maybe ..

Kapaboo is such a class character for one reason only..he's mad and old.

But what exactly was that "i've boiled water in my bellybutton and now its teatime!" bollocks all about anyway? it just baffles me:confused:

after some deliberation and a round of watching "Iron Chef", i think that -- given the context -- Kabapoo's "i've boiled water in my bellybutton and now its teatime!" is indicative of guests on Japanese shows. when they are introduced, they feel the need to say something irrelevant and wacky. hence his odd little saying (same goes for Nabeshin's "i got into a fight again")

Kaba Kaba Kabapoo!

and whats with his put-on moustache? he's look much betetr without it..even if it is funny to see it twirl around like that:lol:

and why was his image in episode 4 or 5 made so sinister when he isnt a big villain at all he's just some random funny guy like excel or pedro...we never see naymore of his "evgil scheming* after that epiosde..well at least up until episode 14.
