I personally think Boogiepop Phantom is better than NGE, but then again I think it's pretty much better than most anime out there. go figure, heh.
The ending was good though. Unlike a lot of anime I see, it wrapped things up well without being too out there or too simple. It gave me a feeling of just contentness, which may have been what it aimed to put out.
