Did any of you guys cry when Il Palazzo got out his gun and shot Excel near the end of the series? Or any of the lead up to it?

But no .. I didn't cry, it was sad in a way but I felt awkward feeling sad for Excel for some reason.

It's not like she was really gonna die... she got hit by a bus twice if i remember correctly (haven't watched the series for ages... <adds to to do list during holidays>) and something like that was bound to happen. :p

I didn't, but I was sad. I didn't think such a wierd trivial show could have that level of emotional attachment. Both Excel Saga and FLCL tug at my heartstings, go figure. That's how good the creators are (keep in mind the script writer for Excel is the same as for "Now and Then, Here and There" a great tear jerker).
