hey all. i've finally upgraded my pc and the obvious thing to do is to tell everyone about it, nerd style!!

the old:
p1 133
qdi 430vx mb
4x8mb generic edo ram
diamond stealth 2000 (s3virge)
quantum fireball 2550mb hdd
sound blaster vibra16

the new:
p4 3.0c
asus p4p800-d (i865pe + wireless crud)
corsair twinx 2x512 pc3200c2
asus 9600xt
sound blaster audigy 2zs
western digital 80gb 7.2k 8mb
2x western digital 160gb sata (haven't arrived yet)
antec 430w truepower

basically its about 30 times faster, bigger, and badder. and it glows green inside (couldn't resist novelty case fans).

(i actually ended up with a 120g p-ata instead of 80g)

6 years worth of technology is a lot when it comes to pcs these days. it's strange to have the modem as the slowest link rather than the swap file!! haha, now i have about 6 years of games to catch up on. good-bye social life : )
