Did anyone know what was point of excel saga it just seems crazy to me. Its a shame that they couldnt all be like the serious episode i liked that the most. Dont remember hyatt randomly dieing much in the end. except when she flooded the earth

Does anyone know name of the other 2 ep series they made?

That be Puni Puni Poemi.

Hmm the point of Excel Saga .. there really is no point to this anime just a lot of random stupid humour. Which one is the serious episode that you speak of?

Well Excel Saga itself says that it needs a plot. But I thought that the general plot wasn't too bad. But yeah the episodes that did have a plot were actually quite good.

Rikdo was trying to experiment and find a plot for each episode. But most, you know..... failed.

But that's what it's SUPPOSED to do! It even says so on the back of the case "If this Anime doesn't offend you somehow, WE HAVEN'T DONE OUR JOB!"

I saw some episodes back when it aired on Sci-Fi channel. The animation appeared decent and I liked the theme song, but most of the humour was lost on me. Also, it was the dubbed version and I simply could not understand what the hell Excel was saying - initially, I seriously thought she was speaking in a made-up language.

It was around 2002 when ES aired on Sci-Fi Channel, in the UK. Most likely it went down like a lead balloon, since they stopped showing a lot of anime shortly afterwards.

Okay because there would be no ------- way Excel Saga would be shown in the states, let alone the last episode which was made just to see how far they could push the standards.

Sci-Fi channel is a poor man's last resort because while places like toonami at least try to cover up their edits, Sci-Fi Channel just blacks out entire scenes if there's a contraversal material (I.E. Nudity) or just cuts the audio when someone swears.

I'm pretty sure that MTV Italy screened Excel Saga. I remember coming across a trailer for it once.

I think that Excel Saga is like the Benny Hill Show. You either love it or hate it.
