Colored Akira manga?

A friend of mine downloaded scans of the manga, and it was colored the whole way through. Was this some reprint, or something? Anyone know?

Apparenlty, the Marvel Comics issues of Akira were colored. (One of the first to be colored digitally, actually.) I'd be quite interested in seeing what it looked like colored... the Marvel prints of Akira are next to impossible to find.

I have a near complete run of the Marvel/Epic imprint of Akira.., as well as the later normal b/w print of the series too..,
Of the two, I prefer the coloured version for the most part as it's easier to make out what is happening in the 'busier' panels.., though the colour palette Marvel/Epic used (i.e., not enough variety) leaves a lot to be desired in certain areas..,
